The brief
A 5-day celebration that read like a love letter to Jodhpur.
When the family first reached out, the brief was deceptively simple: "We want it to feel like our wedding, not a wedding production." 320 guests, four functions, one palace, and an instruction to keep the design quiet enough that the architecture stayed the hero.
Our Udaipur desk walked the family through three palaces over a long weekend. Umaid Bhawan Palace won on a single line of feedback from the bride: "This is where I'd want to wake up the morning after."

How the wedding unfolded — function by function.
- Day 1Welcome & Mehendi
Guests landed in Jodhpur through the morning, checked into the palace suites by lunch. Mehendi unfolded in the courtyard with a live santoor player as the afternoon light dropped.
- Day 2Haldi & Sangeet
A poolside haldi in the morning — yellow florals, dhol, and a brunch of regional thalis. Sangeet at night, choreographed across seven performances ending with the couple's first dance under the chandeliers.
- Day 3Baraat, Pheras & Reception
The baraat entered through the palace gates on horseback, with a brass band and 80 baraatis. Pheras in the central courtyard at sunset. Reception by the lawn till midnight, fireworks at 11.
- Day 5Brunch farewell
A relaxed late-morning farewell brunch — family-only, in the inner courtyard. Some guests stayed back for a heritage palace tour with the curator.
