How Much Does a Palace Wedding Cost in 2026?
Real numbers from 200+ palace weddings — venue buyout, per-plate ranges, décor, room nights and the hidden line items.

After tracking 217 palace weddings between 2023 and 2026, here is what couples actually paid — broken down so you can build your own number before the first sales call.
The five line items that decide the total
Venue rental, per-plate F&B, room-night commitment, décor, and 'everything else' (photography, music, makeup, planner). In a typical ₹3 crore palace wedding the split is roughly 18% / 26% / 22% / 20% / 14%. Get those five numbers right and the budget holds.
What you'll actually pay per palace tier
Tier 1 (Falaknuma, Umaid Bhawan, Jagmandir): ₹3.5–7 Cr for 250 guests over 3 days. Tier 2 (Rambagh, Leela Udaipur, Fairmont): ₹2–4 Cr. Tier 3 (Samode, Neemrana, Noor-us-Sabah): ₹80 L–2 Cr. Below tier 3 you're in heritage-hotel territory, not palace territory.
Hidden line items nobody quotes upfront
Generator power for ballroom AC (₹2–4 L/day), bar L-permit per guest in Gujarat/Maharashtra, drone DGCA clearance (₹35k), corkage if you bring outside alcohol (₹800–1,500 per bottle), and the dreaded 'damage deposit' — usually ₹5–15 L, refundable.
Where palaces will actually move on price
Off-peak (April–September) gets you 25–30% off everything. Weekday function: 12–18% off rental. Single-vendor décor commit: 6–10% off rental plus waived setup. Cash with 50% upfront: 4–6% off the total. Stacked, these add up to a real number.
Our honest take
Budget 15% more than the palace's first quote, lock 12 months out, and pick the property that responds to your written brief best — not the one with the deepest discount. A palace wedding is a five-day operating relationship; you want the team that picks up the phone at 11pm.
